BKLA Music came together after friends and business associates, Joseph Yoon (Spectrum Music) and Monica Seide (Speakeasy PR), realized that innovative independent artists and labels weren’t being properly represented (if represented at all) in the world of music licensing. Let’s face it, with the world of major music monopolies shrinking and technological inroads being what they are, today’s most creative musicians aren’t coming from major labels, with some electing not to work with labels at all.

BKLA offers to bridge the autonomous artist and independent label with music supervisors for film, television, advertising and video games. Enthusiastic supporters of the artists we represent, BKLA is a boutique company that carefully selects its roster and makes the sourcing of inventive and appropriate music as effortless as possible for all parties.
